Things To Do With The Kids at The Eden Project

Family at the Eden Project

Grown-ups love the stunning architecture, art, sustainable living tips and plant life on display at the Eden Project, but there's loads to do with the kids, too.

Meet the 'Pollinators'
Eden's Pollinators don't tend to the plants, they share inspiring stories with guests. Not only will they share their passion for the natural world with you and the kids, they'll also stage live storytelling in the Mediterranean Biome's Citrus Grove every single day between 12pm and 2pm!

Visit Freaky Nature, With Poo! (spring 2012)
Kids will love learning all about the sticky, stinky side of nature at this week-long celebration of Eden's dark side. Kids can dress as a bug; discover the secrets of poisonous, prickly and even carnivorous plants; put plants, parasites and poo under the giant microscopes and take a freaky plant tour of the Rainforest Biome to learn about Eden's wackiest plants.

The kids will also find out why poo smells, tackle an assault course based on a poo's post-flush journey and then test their new knowledge in a poo quiz!

Rock climbing
For a modest charge, you and the kids can tackle Eden's Rock Wall, featuring routes of varying difficulty and expert tuition to ensure that you scale the wall like a true adventurer.

Check out The Core
The Core is home to a giant nutcracker which teaches families about energy and processing, a superfoods cafe (in the summer), a film explaining how the stunning Eden Project was actually built, a sensory garden and a plant engine. However, the kids will probably be most impressed by their own slide secret entrance to The Core.

Visit The Nest
The Nest is simply a massive climbing frame, the kids will love it!

Explore
Eden is full of shortcuts, hideaways, stepping stones and sandpits. Be sure to thoroughly explore all of the little nooks and paths, you never know what you'll find around the next corner.
